Fantastic Thai cafe. Lovely service and setting. Food was great. Only thing I would say is the Green Curry & Panang Curry (both with two chillies each to their name) could be at least spicy. Was mild.
Good I super authentic and it’s seems to be a family own business. The food was cooked fresh and quick. Very friendly and good ambience. Clean toilet. I love the fact that I was told that as a Hawaiian guy I can easily blend as a Thai guy. Eating here making me wanna go to Chiang Mai.
As you walk in the decor is stunning and a warm calm atmosphere greets you. We were made to feel very welcomed, from arrival right till leaving. We'd arrived fairly late in the evening and there was only a seat by the door which we were fine with but soon as one was free we were offered the choice to move seats. I was very kindly given a glass of water after having a bit of a coughing issue while eating. Our food was absolutely wonderful, arrived very fast. So fresh, piping hot and full of flavors. I had vegetable Pad Thai and my friend had the mixed box, both washed down with Chang beer. I'd not tried Chang before but highly recommend it! A very light and refreshing drink to accompany your meal. Have been back a couple of time since and still wonderful!
First time at Mai Thai , and it was very nice! Be aware they don’t sell alcoholic drinks (but you can bring your own in.)
Me and my friend ate here for the first time and IT WAS AMAZING!! I had tom kha and she had tom yum and safe to say the first bite was heavenly. V authentic taste and just perfect - better than any other Thai restaurant in Southampton for sure.
